French public-service broadcaster France Télévisions said that its channels would provide 300 hours of live coverage from the 2012 Olympic Games.
The Rapid TV News website reports that the majority of the coverage will be carried by the France 2 and France 3 channels, with digital-terrestrial channel France 4 and satellite channel France Ô focusing on the men’s and women’s football competitions. Each channel will offer 15 hours of coverage per day during the Games, which commence on July 27.
France Télévisions will also produce a daily highlights programme, while the Outre-Mer 1ère service will provide coverage through its network of radio and television stations operating in France’s overseas territories.
