Setanta Sports Eurasia has been acquired by the Adjara Group, parent company of Georgian pay-television broadcaster Adjarasport, in a deal that sees Setanta's media-rights portfolio and carriage agreements in the territory transfer to the Georgian company.
The deal applies to 13 territories across Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus region, including the Baltics and Georgia. It does not include Setanta's pay-television channels in Ukraine, which will remain under the control of its existing shareholders.
