The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has revealed that this year’s edition of its showpiece World Championships will be broadcast in more than 200 territories around the world.
Taking place in the Chinese capital of Beijing from August 22-30, the IAAF has anticipated that the event will reach a cumulative audience of six billion television viewers.
IAAF will also stream live coverage of the event in 180 territories via its official channel on video-sharing website YouTube.
The IAAF YouTube channel will also stream a daily highlights programme in 130 territories worldwide.
Approximately 1,900 athletes representing national teams from over 200 IAAF Member Federations are due to compete at Beijing 2015.
