The IMG agency has secured the global in-flight and in-ship rights to Fifa’s 2018 World Cup, 2019 Women’s World Cup and 2017 Confederations Cup international football tournaments.
IMG will be able to show live coverage of all three competitions across its Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra channels.
The exclusive match world-feed package also includes the distribution of video highlights of each tournament.
Richard Wise, senior vice-president, content and channels at IMG Media, said: “All three Fifa tournaments will be broadcast to the widest-ever in-flight and in-ship audience through this historic new deal.”
Sport 24’s football content also includes qualifying matches for the 2018 World Cup, as well as the Uefa Champions League, English Premier League and German Bundesliga club competitions.
