The IMG agency has acquired global in-flight and in-ship rights for the Uefa Euro 2016 national team football tournament.
Under the deal with Uefa, football’s European governing body, IMG will distribute live coverage to the airline and cruise liner industries, while daily and weekly highlights programmes, as well as a review of the tournament, will be produced especially for the markets.
Live coverage will also be shown on Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra, the IMG-owned channels produced exclusively for the in-flight and in-ship markets. A total of 51 matches will be shown live across both channels, starting with the opening game between Romania and host nation France on June 10.
Sport 24 is currently available across 11 airlines and six cruise lines.
Sport 24 will also show live coverage of the Uefa Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid this Saturday.
