The IMG agency has sealed a deal to distribute the worldwide media rights for boxing’s upcoming Olympic Games qualifying tournament.
IMG was appointed by Aiba, the sport’s global governing body.
The event will take place in Vargas, Venezuela from July 3-8. IMG will have global rights across all media platforms, including gaming.
For the first time, national federations may register eligible professional boxers for the tournament, from which 26 Olympic quota places are available to the top-performing boxers across the 10 weight categories.
