The Infront Sports & Media agency has secured new broadcast rights deals for the Champions Hockey League in Latin America, Israel, Latvia and France ahead of the finale of the second season of the pan-European club ice hockey competition.
The 2015-16 CHL season concludes tomorrow (Tuesday) with Finland’s Kärpät Oulu set to take on Sweden’s Frölunda Gothenburg on home ice at the Oulun Energia Areena.
Infront, the exclusive media and marketing partner of the CHL, said it has sold the media rights for the final to 19 broadcasters and digital platforms worldwide, covering a total of 40 territories.
For the final, Infront has secured additional coverage in Latin America through pan-regional pay-television broadcaster DirecTV, in Israel through pay-television broadcaster Charlton, in Latvia through pay-television broadcaster Best4Sport and in France via the streaming platform Dailymotion. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
For the 2015-16 CHL final, Infront said it will newly introduce a Bowcam – a cable suspended aerial camera provided by Spidercam. The Bowcam travels along a point-to-point path, but with the added advantage of being able to alter its height freely.
