Manolo Romero, founder of Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), the host broadcast arm of the International Olympic Committee, has died at the age of 81.
The Spaniard oversaw the IOC’s host broadcast operations for the 1984 Games in Los Angeles before taking on a similar role for Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996, and all Games from Sydney 2000 until London 2012.
