Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), the country’s public-service broadcaster, has acquired live rights for tonight’s (Tuesday) qualifying match for the 2014 Fifa World Cup between the Iran and South Korea national football teams in Tehran.
Iranian news website Kabir News said that IRIB had purchased the rights in a one-game deal with the World Sport Group agency. No financial details were disclosed.
IRIB did not broadcast Iran’s last match against Lebanon in September after failing to agree a rights fee with the agency.
