Israeli pay-television broadcaster the Sports Channel has acquired rights to the 2014 and 2016 Olympic Games in a deal with the Sportfive agency.
The deal covers rights across all media platforms, including free-to-air, pay, pay-per-view and video-on-demand television, internet, mobile and radio.
The Sports Channel has committed to making a “substantial” part of the Games available on free-to-air television.
The Sportfive agency is distributing the rights for the two events in 40 European territories.
