Online sports broadcaster Laola1.tv, a subsidiary of the Sportsman Media Group, has acquired rights in Germany to the 2015-16 season of European club ice hockey competition the Champions Hockey League.
Laola1.tv will live stream all 24 group stage games featuring the six competing German clubs during the second edition of the CHL. The games will be available across the internet, mobile devices and smart televisions.
The agreement comes after German sports broadcaster Sport1 last month agreed a one-year extension to its rights deal for the CHL.
Sport1 broadcast the inaugural season of the CHL in 2014-15 and has committed to show at least 10 live games from the 2015-16 campaign on free-to-air television in Germany.
The Sport1 deal was agreed with Sportsman, which markets the CHL’s media rights in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
