US agency Learfield Sports has agreed a deal to represent the multimedia rights of the athletics division of Temple University for the next 10 years.
Effective from the 2014-15 athletic season, Learfield will assume the Philadelphia-based institution’s multimedia rights and establish a local subsidiary – Temple Sports Properties – to work with the university’s athletics administration and the corporate sponsors of its athletics programme.
Learfield Sports last month strengthened its US college sports multimedia rights portfolio by acquiring rival agency Nelligan Sports Marketing.
The deal, which was struck after months of negotiations, led to Learfield taking the multimedia rights of 41 collegiate properties under its umbrella.
