Lines appointed to key Lagardère Unlimited position

Lagardère appointed Phil Lines as head of media activities for Europe and Africa at Lagardère Unlimited, the French media conglomerate’s sports marketing division. Lagardère Unlimited owns the IEC in Sports, Sportfive and World Sport Group rights agencies.

Lines quit the US-based sports agency Creative Artists Agency earlier this month. He had previously served as head of international broadcasting for English football’s Premier League.

Lines will report into Alain Lemarchand, Lagardère Unlimited’s chief operating officer in Europe and Africa.

“Phil’s unparalleled knowledge, worldwide network and entrepreneurial approach will play a key role in the growth plan of Lagardère Unlimited,” Lemarchand said.

Lines added: “Lagardère Unlimited is a major force in sports media and I have been very impressed by the company’s ambition and determination.”

Lines started in his new role today, February 20.
