The organisers of cycling’s Vuelta a Burgos have agreed a number of deals in Spain and France for rights to the five-day stage race, including a deal with Marca TV, the digital-terrestrial channel managed by the Spanish agency Mediapro.
Marca TV’s coverage will replace that of public-service broadcaster TVE’s digital-terrestrial sports channel Teledeporte, which will be focussing on Olympic Games coverage while the Vuelta a Burgos takes place from August 1-5.
Spanish regional broadcasters ETB, TVG, Canal 9, Canal Sur, Canal 8 de Castilla y León TV, will all carry coverage of the race.
French pay-television broadcaster Canal Plus has also agreed a deal for the race.
The Vuelta a Burgos is part of the Europe Tour organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale, the international cycling union.
