Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset has acquired media rights for the Motocross World Championship.
The deal covers the 2014 and 2015 seasons of the series, which is sanctioned by the FIM, motorcycle racing’s governing body.
Under the deal with series promoter Youthstream, Mediaset will air the MXGP premier category of the World Championship, as well as the Motocross of Nations end-of-season showpiece event.
Mediaset will also broadcast the Junior Motocross World Championship and the Snowcross World Championship, both of which are also sanctioned by the FIM.
The 2014 Motocross World Championship will begin in Qatar on March 1.
