The MP & Silva agency has secured the exclusive rights to distribute the Uefa Euro 2016 national team football tournament in Japan.
Under the agreement, MP & Silva will distribute matches from the tournament, which is to be hosted in France, across all media platforms including television rights for cable, satellite and terrestrial, internet, IPTV and mobile.
The deal covers all 51 matches during the tournament as well as daily highlights shows.
This latest agreement follows MP & Silva’s August acquisition of the media rights to Euro 2016 qualifying matches in Japan and Uefa qualifiers for the 2018 Fifa World Cup.
Andrea Radrizzani, MP & Silva’s founding partner, said: “We are very proud of our rapidly burgeoning relationship with Uefa. We look forward to working with our robust network of partners in Japan.
“Japan continues to be a key market for MP & Silva, and this partnership with Uefa underlines our leadership in sports content across this market, adding to our comprehensive line-up of top football leagues, tournaments and club content from around the world.”
