Modern Times Group, the multi-territory commercial and pay-television broadcaster, has struck a deal to offer its Viaplay online streaming service, which includes various sports content, to customers of Swedish telecommunications operator Tele2.
New and existing Tele2 mobile and mobile broadband customers will have the option to include Viaplay in their subscription from the end of January.
Viaplay can be accessed from various internet-connected devices such as PCs, tablet, mobile phones, smart television and gaming consoles.
The Tele2 agreement is the first of its kind for Viaplay.
Viaplay streams a range of sports such as the NHL North American ice hockey league, English football’s top-tier Premier League and the NFL American football league.
