South African cricket competition the Mzansi Super League T20 has announced Sony Pictures Networks India as its media rights partner in the Indian subcontinent.
The deal covers the 2019 edition of the MSL, which started on Friday, November 8 and runs until December 16. It covers rights in India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Coverage will be on sports channels Sony Six and Sony ESPN.
The deal was agreed by the competition’s organiser Cricket South Africa and its commercial rights agent, the Singapore-based Global Sports Commerce. GSC has a five-year deal with CSA covering rights for the event from its inaugural 2018 year until 2022.
