Nascar Digital Media, the media arm of North American stock car-racing series Nascar, has agreed a deal with YouTube to stream complete race replays on the video-sharing website.
Replays of each Nascar Sprint Cup race will be broadcast on the official Nascar YouTube channel free of charge during the remainder of the series’ postseason.
Replays will be broadcast each week following the event.
In January 2013, Nascar Digital Media launched a redesigned digital platform that included the official YouTube channel. Nascar broadcasts a range of content on the channel, but the new deal will bring replays to the platform for the first time.
“Enhancing the fan experience through Nascar’s digital properties is at the core of everything we do, and providing free, full-length race replays on YouTube gives our fans another easy way to interact with the sport,” Colin Smith, managing director of Nascar Digital Media, said.
