Norwegian public-service broadcaster NRK has acquired rights for the 2015 World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships and the 2016 World Chess Championship.
Norwegian Magnus Carlsen is the reigning world champion in all disciplines.
The 2015 event will take place from October 9-15 in Berlin, Germany.
The 2016 championship is a planned contest between Carlsen (pictured) and a challenger.
The deal was brokered by the Agon agency on behalf of FIDE, the global governing body of chess.
