Rights deal gives FIM Endurance World Championship Velocity in North America

North American cable and satellite television network Velocity has acquired rights in the US and Canada to the International Motorcycling Federation’s (FIM) Endurance World Championship.

Under the agreement, Velocity will broadcast the 23-minute Pit Stop segment and 45-minute highlights programmes from all EWC races during the 2017 season.

Velocity, which is owned by media and entertainment company Discovery Communications, will also air a 45-minute review show at the end of the season.

Velocity specialises in motorsport coverage and reaches more than 62 million households in North America.

The next event on the FIM EWC calendar is the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans, France on April 15-16.
