Six Nations kicks off with large audiences in France and Ireland

The first matches of this year’s Six Nations Championship attracted strong audiences on public-service broadcasters in both France and Ireland.

An average of 5.8 million viewers watched France-Italy on Sunday on France 2, the free-to-air channel of France Télévisions. France won 37-10, kicking off their Six Nations campaign on the front foot.
