Pay-television broadcaster Sky has acquired exclusive, multi-year rights in the UK and Ireland to US-based Keeneland horseracing and sale events.
The deal, which starts with Keeneland’s Fall Meet on October 4-26, covers 32 graded stakes races, including ten Breeders’ Cup Challenge races.
Coverage will include commentary from Keeneland Paddock Hosts Scott Hazelton and Gabby Gaudet.
The inventory also comprises Keeneland’s four annual Thoroughbred auctions, alongside editorial features and interviews with industry insiders.
Sky acquired the rights from the Keeneland Association, which it will exploit on its dedicated channel, Sky Sports Racing, through its linear and digital platforms.
The channel was launched at the start of the year as a rebrand of the pay-television channel At The Races.
