Sony pots rights to snooker’s Indian Open

Sony Pictures Networks India has acquired rights to the 2016 edition of the Indian Open snooker tournament.

The deal grants SPN exclusive broadcast and digital rights in India and the Indian subcontinent to the tournament.

Coverage will be aired daily via pay-television channel Sony Six and via the Sony Liv streaming platform.

The 2016 Indian Open – the third since the tournament’s inception – will be staged in Hyderabad from July 4-9. Wales’ Michael White is the defending champion.
