The deal means Sport1’s website will host highlights of NBA basketball, NHL ice hockey, Italian Serie A football, tennis from the ATP World Tour and Australian Open, International Association of Athletics Federations events, and golf and cycling competitions. The player will also show news clips covering the Uefa Champions League and Europa League, the English Premier League, and other sports properties from around the world.
Meanwhile, Sport1 agreed a carriage deal for its Sport1 HD channel with German cable television operator Kabel-BW, beginning tomorrow. Sport1 HD is a high definition simulcast of the flagship Sport1 basic-tier sports channel. It will be available free of charge to Kabel BW subscribers.
