SRG SSR to produce Olympic skiing signal

Swiss public-service broadcaster SRG SSR agreed a deal with Olympic Broadcasting Services, the International Olympic Committee’s host broadcaster, to produce the international signal for alpine skiing events at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi.

SRG SSR will provide the audio and video signal for the downhill, super G, super combined, giant slalom and slalom events on behalf of Olympic Broadcasting Services.

SRG SSR produced the international signal for alpine skiing competitions at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. It also produced coverage of speed skating events at the Winter Games in Turin in 2006 and Lillehammer in 1994, and the rowing competitions at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1996, Sydney in 2000 and Athens in 2004.

The 2014 Winter Games will take place from February 7 to 23.
