NBA basketball team the Miami Heat has signed a long-term extension to its local television rights agreement with Sun Sports – a regional subsidiary of the Fox Sports network.
Under the deal, for which financial terms were not disclosed, Sun Sports will remain the exclusive regional television home of the three-time NBA champion.
Alongside live coverage of the Heat throughout the regular season, Sun Sports will also air first-round play-off games.
Miami Heat has successfully collaborated with Sun Sports, previously named the Sunshine Network, for 22 years.
Sun Sports and Fox Sports Florida also hold broadcast partnerships with the Heat’s NBA counterpart Orlando Magic, MLB baseball teams Tampa Bay Rays and Miami Marlins and NHL ice hockey duo Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers.
