UK sports production and media company Sunset+Vine has been awarded the broadcast production contract for new Twenty20 cricket competition the Pakistan Super League.
The franchise-based league’s organisers said Sunset+Vine had sealed the contract after a “stringent pre-qualification process” driven towards ensuring quality production of the highest level.
The PSL added that several companies submitted proposals to obtain production rights for the competition.
The PSL is scheduled to take place from February 4-24 in Dubai and Sharjah, with five teams set to take part in the first edition of the league.
The Pakistan Cricket Board in September backtracked on its decision to stage its new franchise-based league in Qatar, having initially announced that Doha would host the PSL.
Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara (pictured) last week became the latest star to commit to the PSL, with over 100 players, including big names such as Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Kevin Pietersen and Shakib Al Hasan, set to enter a draft process.
