China’s Super Sports Media has moved to expand its portfolio of football content by acquiring rights to the Uefa Nations League, the national team tournament launched by the sport’s European governing body.
Super Sports will hold exclusive digital media rights to the competition in China for the 2018-19 and 2020-21 editions of the Nations League.
Super Sports already has rights for the English Premier League in China.
The Nations League, which will take place for the first time in 2018-19, has been introduced to replace traditional friendly matches in Europe, with all 55 teams under the Uefa umbrella to take part.
