Swiss pay-television broadcaster Teleclub secured rights to the Brazilian Campeonato Série A, the top-tier Brazilian football league, through to 2014.
Teleclub said it will broadcast selected live games from the league, along with highlights programmes and the Foot Brazil magazine show. Broadcasts will begin with Vasco da Gama’s game against Santos on Sunday, July 22.
Teleclub said: “The mood and atmosphere of the great football temples such as the Maracana or the Morumbi stadium is unique and the pictures are, not least in preparation for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, a highlight for our Teleclub customers.”
Teleclub will shortly reveal details of further international football rights deals.
