Norwegian commercial and pay-television broadcaster TV2 has agreed a two-season deal for rights to English club football competition the FA Cup.
The contract will cover the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons of the knockout tournament. Matches will be available to subscribers of the TV2 Sport Premium and TV2 Sumo services.
TV2 said the deal had been struck following “long negotiations” and it will kick off its coverage with the opening game of the third-round weekend, which sees Premier League teams West Ham United and Manchester City face off later today (Friday).
TV2 will broadcast a further eight games from Saturday to Monday.
