Norwegian commercial broadcaster TV2 has secured domestic rights to a host of Norwegian football properties, including the top-tier Eliteserien, from 2023, in the most valuable media rights deal in the country’s history.
The six-season deal, from 2023 to 2028, is worth a total of NOK4.5bn (€418.5m/$507.6m), or an average of NOK750m per season. The deal includes the Eliteserien, the second-tier 1. Divisjon, top-tier women’s league Toppserien, men’s and women’s cup competitions.
