Norwegian commercial and pay-television broadcaster TV2 has completed a deal to take over pay-television broadcaster C More’s sports operation in Norway.
The agreement for C More’s pay-television operation in the country was first announced in February, with TV2 viewing C More as a strategic purchase to enable it to bundle together premium sport.
Under the deal, TV2 will acquire 12 C More pay-television channels in Norway. TV2 will take over C More’s sports portfolio, which includes the top domestic football league, the Tippeliga, as well as Uefa Europa League, Italian Serie A and Spanish Liga football.
C More said in a statement: “Today (Thursday) completed the previously announced structural transaction between C More and TV2 in the Norwegian market. The deal means that C More sells sporting activities in Norway to TV2 and that a long-term partnership will initially focus on the supply of C More films and series in the Norwegian market.”
