Spanish public-service broadcaster TVE has acquired domestic rights for the Segunda División, the second division of football in Spain, from the Mediapro agency.
Under the deal, TVE’s digital-terrestrial sports channel Teledeporte will show live coverage of two games per week from the division until the end of the 2012-13 season in June.
Teledeporte will also show highlights of the division as well as the Liga top tier and the Copa del Rey knockout tournament.
The channel will start broadcasting the games this weekend with coverage of Racing Santander v Mirandés on Saturday and Xerez v Sabadell on Sunday. Both games kick off at 9pm local time.
