Jean-Thierry Augustin is the general manager of TV distribution, rights acquisitions and development at Eurosport. He has been with Eurosport since 2001, and played a key role in the launch of the Eurosport 2 channel in 2005, the Eurosport HD channels in 2008 and 2009, the Eurosport Player online subscription video service in 2007, as well as the broadcaster’s websites in Russia, Sweden, Poland and Turkey.

Jörg Daubitzer has been a key member of the management board of DFL Sports Enterprises, the commercial arm of the German football league, since the founding of the DFL subsidiary in September 2008, helping to transform the commercial performance of the league and develop the Bundesliga into one of sport’s most instantly recognisable brands.

Simon Johnson is one of the most respected sports-rights advisers, with a 20-year career that has seen him operate at the highest levels of the sports and media industries. After a period as the senior lawyer at the English Premier League, he spent four years as director of corporate affairs at the Football Association. At the outset of his career, he spent 10 years at UK commercial broadcaster ITV, the majority as director of rights and business affairs, with responsibility for all of ITV’s sports negotiations and programme rights strategy.

Stefan Kürten is responsible for the acquisition and sales of EBU sports rights. Under his guidance, the EBU secured rights for member territories for the Olympic Games of 2010 and 2012, the Fifa World Cups of 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022, Uefa’s Euro 2012 championship and world and European championships for other summer and winter sports.

In less than 10 years, Riccardo Silva has helped build MP & Silva into one of the world’s largest distributors of sports media rights, with a portfolio which includes Europe’s top football leagues, Fifa World Cup qualifiers, tennis’s French Open, and many other sports, including motor racing, handball, baseball, volleyball, boxing and the Asian Games.
