Uefa, football’s European governing body, will relaunch the sales process for the media rights in the Philippines to the European qualifiers for the Euro 2016 and 2018 Fifa World Cup international football competitions, along with France’s hosting of Euro 2016, on January 7.
It postponed the original tender process in November after the Philippines region was struck by Typhoon Haiyan. The tender was due to run from November 7-28, but offers for the rights will now be accepted from January 7-29.
Uefa will also open up a tender across the same dates for the rights to the competitions in Taiwan. In addition, Malta’s tender for the European qualifiers will run from January 6-28. These rights will exclude live matches featuring the Maltese national team.
The CAA Eleven agency is handling the sales process for the competitions on behalf of Uefa.
