VCU Athletics signs up with Learfield Sports

The Learfield Sports agency has signed a multimedia rights deal with the athletics division of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in the US.

The agreement with VCU Athletics will run for 10 years, from the 2015-16 college season through to the end of 2024-25.

Learfield will manage the multimedia rights for all VCU Athletics teams. The deal will cover a range of rights including television, radio and sponsorship.

Robby Robinson, general manager of the Learfield sales team, will manage the VCU Athletics account. Robinson previously served as senior associate athletic director for external relations at VCU.

VCU becomes the fifth university in the Atlantic 10 Conference to sign up with Learfield, following the University of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, St. Louis and Duquesne.
