Subscription streaming operator Viaplay Group has announced that its Viaplay service will launch in the UK on November 1 after receiving Irish media merger control clearance for its acquisition of Premier Sports.
Today’s (Tuesday’s) announcement comes after Viaplay in July bolstered its presence in the UK ahead of its impending launch in the market by agreeing the takeover of Premier Sports, while also appointing Ed Breeze from DAZN Group to lead its operations in the territory.
