Vietnamese football poised to sign 20-year deal

The deal has yet to be finalised, but AVG will reportedly pay VND6 billion ($300,000) per season for the rights, doubling the amount paid this season by state broadcaster Vietnam Television. The VFF will also receive 20 per cent of the advertising revenue generated by its matches.

AVG has committed to showing all seven V-League matches each week on its new sports channel, called 24-7. AVG has yet to confirm the launch date of the channel and said that in the intervening period it would make the rights available for free to any local television station wanting to show coverage of the matches.
