Spain's competition watchdog, the Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC), has said there was no pact between the Mediapro agency, public broadcaster RTVE, media group Mediaset and telco Telefónica in the bidding for rights to the Copa del Rey from 2019-20 to 2021-22.

Mediaset originally acquired domestic rights to the Copa del Rey, Spain’s premier knock-out football competition, from the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), the governing body of Spanish football.
