The German Olympic Committee (DOSB) has extended its partnership with the Schmidt Media agency through to the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Several Malaysian broadcasters may team up to make an offer to the Dentsu agency for the rights to the 2016 summer Olympic Games, according to national newspaper the Star.

Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset is close to acquiring free-to-air rights to the Sochi 2014 winter Olympic Games in a sub-licensing agreement with pay-television broadcaster Sky Italia, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.

Portuguese pay-television broadcaster Sport TV has acquired the pay-television rights in Portugal to the 2014 winter Olympic Games in Sochi and the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
