Belgian pay-television broadcaster Telenet has tabled a €900m ($1.22bn) bid for the rights to the Pro League, the top division of Belgian football, in a 12-year deal that would commence from the 2014-15 season, according to Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

Uefa, European football’s governing body, has signed media rights agreements for the European qualifying matches for the Euro 2016 and 2018 Fifa World Cup national team competitions in the territories of Portugal, Belgium, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
