The contract covers the 2016 and 2018 editions of both the men’s and women’s EHF European Handball Championship national team competitions. The deal also includes rights for the France national team’s away qualification matches for each tournament.

The agreement will cover free-to-air and pay-television rights for live, delayed, highlights and news coverage in a number regions.

Territories covered by the deal include France, French overseas territories, Monaco, Andorra, Mauritius, Madagascar, the US, Canada, Australia and the Middle East and North Africa region.

For the 2018 women’s tournament, beIN Media Group’s French-facing channel beIN Sports France will act as host broadcaster and will facilitate free-to-air live coverage of all matches involving the country’s national team.

For all four tournaments covered by the deal, beIN Sports France will broadcast a minimum of 10 games across its various platforms. These matches will include all France games, both semi-finals and the final.

The deal was agreed with the Infront Sports and Media agency, the official media and marketing partner of the EHF.
