Uefa, European football’s governing body, has agreed deals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for the Champions League and Europa League competitions for three seasons, from 2012-13 to 2014-15.
Slovakian public-service broadcaster RTVS has acquired rights to both competitions. It will show the first-pick Wednesday night match from the Champions League, and the first-pick match each week from the Europa League. Each live broadcast will be followed by a highlights programme.
Czech commercial and pay-television broadcaster Nova has acquired live rights to the Europa League for all matches excluding the first-pick match each week. Public-service broadcaster Czech TV agreed a deal for the first-pick match last December. The rights to the final will be shared by Nova and Czech TV.
The deals include mobile and internet rights.
The Team Marketing agency, Uefa’s global sales agent for the Champions League and Europa League, brokered the deals.
