International pay-television sports broadcaster Eleven Sports Network has acquired live and exclusive rights in Singapore for the 2016 Badminton Asia Team Championships.
Eleven will provide coverage on television and the Elevensports.sg website from the quarter-final stage of the competition, which is taking place in Hyderabad, India, from February 19-21.
The event is organised by the Badminton Asia Confederation and hosted by the Badminton Association of India. The tournament will feature nine of the world’s top-10 ranked nations.
Eleven already has rights in Singapore for several football properties, including England’s FA Cup, League Cup and Football League; Italy’s Serie A top tier; and the Serie A top division and Copa knockout competition in Brazil. Baseball, table tennis, basketball, tennis and handball events from around the world are also available in Singapore on the Eleven and Eleven Sports channels.
