International sports broadcaster Eleven Sports has acquired rights in Myanmar to the upcoming Asian Games multi-sport event, which runs from August 18 to September 2 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia.
Live and exclusive coverage will be shown via Eleven’s My Sports page on social media platform Facebook.
My Sports is Eleven’s service in Myanmar and will provide coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies, football matches involving the Myanmar national team, and other selected events and daily highlights via Facebook Live.
A total of 45 nations will compete at the 2018 Asian Games across 40 events. The Myanmar national football team will face North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Iran in the group stage at the Games.
Eleven confirmed Myanmar as its latest market back in June through an agreement underpinned by the acquisition of rights to the top-tier Myanmar National Football League. The nine-year partnership runs from 2019 to 2027. From next year, My Sports will deliver all 132 matches per season on a new linear service via satellite and OTT platforms.
