ESPN has unveiled a series of initiatives to bolster its National Hockey League coverage, including on-ice camera operators, players microphoned during their warm-ups, locker room cameras, and puck and player tracking data.
Following a landmark $2.8bn (€2.35bn), seven-year rights deal secured earlier this year, the NHL returns to ESPN linear television for the first time since 2004 on October 12.
