The National Hockey League, domestic rights-holder ESPN and Disney Channel have created a first-ever live, animated NHL game telecast that will feature the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers on March 14 in an alternate broadcast presentation.
The game will have live animation of players modeled on the Disney animated comedy 'Big City Greens'. The broadcast will air on ESPN+, Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney+, while the main game will air on ESPN and ESPN+.
