US media company 21st Century Fox has appointed Brian Sullivan, the former chief executive of German pay-television broadcaster Sky Deutschland, to the newly created role of president of digital for its Fox Networks Group division.
Sullivan, who is due to commence his new role on July 24, will report directly to Peter Rice, chairman and chief executive officer of Fox Networks.
Sullivan will assume responsibility for developing Fox Networks’ strategy in the direct-to-consumer digital video category.
As part of his role, he will also drive growth across the Fox Networks portfolio of products, such as FoxNow, FXNow, Fox Sports Go and the Fox Play international products.
Sullivan joins Fox Networks after he opted to stand down as chief executive of Sky Deutschland in March of this year. Prior to his time with the German company, he spent 13 years with UK pay-television broadcaster Sky.
