GT Series drives away with rights deals for 2015 season

SRO Motorsports Group, promoter of the GT Series, has sealed a number of new rights deals ahead of the start of the 2015 season of the motor racing championship.

In the United States and Canada, the CBS Sports division of US network CBS has renewed its agreement to the end of 2017, offering live coverage of the Sprint Series and highlights of the Endurance Series.

Pay-television broadcaster Fox Sports Latin America has signed a rights deal, the terms of which were undisclosed, broadcasting highlights of the series in 56 million homes of Spanish-speaking countries of central and Latin America.

Brazilian pay-television channel SporTV has also extended its deal for an undisclosed term. SRO added that rights extensions have also been agreed with UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport, as well as pay-television broadcaster BeIN Media Group for the Middle East region.

The 2015 GT Series commences with a Sprint Series event in Nogaro, France on April 4-6.
